Nice

Bobert-Rob responds:

Thanks!

Good to see another old NG character come back! Fun script as always sir.

Bobert-Rob responds:

If by character you mean me, then yes! Been trying to get people to notice. Still here, still plugging away. I've been doing regular releases these days, so please stay tuned. I do it for you guys!

"ugh, yes sir..." all the pink washing of media since 2016 lol!

PartTimeSeagull responds:

pink washing?

Ha! Nice, the bit about the Epoxies reminds me of hangin' out at a strip club with Roxy Epoxy quite a while ago. She made fun of me for being a prude and kinda ignoring the strippers - I also have social anxiety weeeee. A cool lady otherwise. Thanks for bringing me back to a fun memory.

Raziberry responds:

The pleasure is all mine.
ALL OF IT.
YOU GET NONE.

This animation was great. The aesthetics, pacing and storyboarding were perfect!
Why be so weirded out by strangers though? I studied music in college, so I'm just used to being kind of an oddball in general. I think when dealing with a new roommate you just have to lay your cards on the table. Crack your worst jokes, talk about your hobbies and just try to be comfortable with yourself. Then there is no room for passive weirdness.

CartoonCoffee responds:

Thank you!
That is good advice, I feel many people do try this approach. But this episode is this way for story reasons. The series is an attempt to talk about things people may feel or think, but don't want to admit or talk about openly.

Thanks for the comment!

wow that was awful

First off, the message of this flash was so blunt and brutal, that it nullified any artistic value I might find in the visuals. Why do religious people have to hold such intense and distorted views of daily life without god. Just because I don't believe doesn't mean that I have no sense of social responsibility or moral standards. I'm a strong enough person to define my own belief system based off of many good and bad experiences in the real world. How can you try to define your life based off of a book written over 2000 years ago and then edited/translated by the, greeks, romans, king James and who knows who else... The bible is full of acts of hate, perversion and violence and thank the zombie jesus the city I live in has little connection to the ugly depiction of humanity that book paints. All the darkness I see is in that awful book and all the talk of unfair judgement, blood and torture in any church I've been to. The best advise I can give, is for to get out of your own head, out of your house to go and see how interesting, exciting, challenging and beautiful the world can be when looked at impartially.

:) Thank you for your honest review

yup shaving sucks

I'm all about the reverse goatee myself YYYYYYYYAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRR!!!!!!

Bobert-Rob responds:

I whole heartedly agree with you on the shaving sucks part. Unfortunately, ME DONT GOT A CHOICE. :( Well, I sort of don't have a choice. I mean I COULD refuse to shave, but then I'd get a massive beard, and a beard that grows wild usually overthrows the beard wearer. I'd rather be more man than beard. Thanks for the input!

some advice

I think the only issue with this short is that, their really aren't any visual cues that the majority of the story doesn't take place reality. Maybe a slight blur to certain objects or maybe you wanted to keep people guessing. Anyway great job!

SketchMichaels responds:

Something I had pondered... though I think it would give away the ending. At any rate, thanks for reviewing!

watch out dude the Metallihacks might sue your ass

You have good art and the start of an interesting concept but it just isn't enough to interest people. Maybe you should've waited to add just enough to give the flick some sort of direction. If you want to make this film artsy then why use instrumental metallicrap, those guys are right up there with Motly Crue and Ratt, I'd recommend something from the Trans Siberian Orchestra!

Radam responds:

I was antsy to get it out. The work continues, so it should be more to your liking as it takes form.

It's not intended to be art; just faux art, and I think the Apocolyptica track fits it well.

I'm old. I've been following newgrounds probably longer than most of its current users have been alive... *smh*
